Terms of Service

The terms under which Almuallim provides online Quran classes to UK students.

Last updated: 27 September 2026

1. Agreement

By enrolling a student with Almuallim ("we", "us", "our"), you ("the parent or guardian", "you") agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before enrolling.

2. Our services

Almuallim provides one-to-one online Quran classes via video call, for students across the UK. Classes are taught by qualified teachers in English, Urdu or Arabic. Courses include Noorani Qaida, Qur'an Reading with Tajweed, Hifz-ul-Qur'an, Tafseer & Islamic Studies, English Tarjuma & Islamiat, Sisters-Only Classes, and Adult Quran Classes.

All lessons are delivered live. We do not offer pre-recorded lessons.

3. Free trial class

Every new student is entitled to one free trial class. This class is a full lesson, not a demonstration — no card details are required to book it. At the end of the trial, you may choose whether to continue with paid lessons.

4. Fees and payment

Our current packages are:

  • Starter — £32/month, 2 classes per week (8 per month).
  • Standard — £42/month, 3 classes per week (12 per month).
  • Intensive — £60/month, 5 classes per week (20 per month).

All classes are 30 minutes. Fees are per student and billed monthly in advance. We do not charge a registration fee.

Sibling discount: 10% off each additional child from the same family.

Loyalty programme: prepay 3 months upfront for 1 free class; prepay 6 months upfront for 3 free classes.

Payment methods are agreed at enrolment. We do not store card details. Fees are due before the first class of each month unless otherwise agreed.

5. Scheduling

Lessons are scheduled in UK time, at times agreed between you and your teacher. Once a schedule is set, both parties commit to attending at those times.

We ask for at least 4 hours' notice if a lesson needs to be rescheduled. With sufficient notice, we will reschedule the lesson at no extra cost.

6. Missed lessons

  • Student cancels with 4+ hours' notice: lesson is rescheduled at no charge.
  • Student cancels with less than 4 hours' notice, or does not attend: lesson is counted as used.
  • Teacher cancels at any time: lesson is always rescheduled or credited — no charge to you.
  • Technical failure on your side (no internet, broken device): lesson is counted as used unless you notify us within 15 minutes of start time.
  • Technical failure on our side: lesson is always rescheduled or credited.

7. Cancellation and pausing

There are no long-term contracts. You may pause or cancel at any time — just let us know before the next billing date. Many families pause during Ramadan travel or school holidays and resume afterwards.

If you cancel before the month is complete, no refund is given for unused lessons in that month, but unused lessons may be carried forward at our discretion if you plan to return.

8. Refunds

Fees for lessons already delivered are non-refundable. If a lesson was not delivered due to our fault, we will reschedule it or credit the fee. If you have paid for a full month and wish to cancel within the first week, we may offer a refund at our discretion.

9. Teacher changes

We aim to provide the same teacher consistently for every student. However, if a teacher becomes unavailable for an extended period, we may assign a replacement teacher of the same standard. You will always be informed before a change.

10. Student conduct

We ask that students:

  • Attend lessons on time, from a quiet place.
  • Come prepared with any materials the teacher has requested.
  • Treat the teacher with respect and Islamic manners.

Repeated disruption may result in termination of lessons at our discretion.

11. Technology requirements

Lessons are delivered over video call (typically Zoom). You are responsible for having:

  • A phone, tablet or laptop with a working camera and microphone.
  • A stable internet connection.

12. Recording of lessons

Lessons are not recorded by us. If you wish to record a lesson for revision purposes, please ask the teacher for permission first.

13. Liability

We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from lessons, delays or technical issues. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid by you in the preceding month.

Almuallim's teaching is delivered with care and in line with Islamic scholarship. Any student is free to leave at any time.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued enrolment after changes means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
